If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around. The best sermons are lived, not preached. Even a dog knows the difference between being kicked and being stepped on. Before you borrow money from a friend, decide which you need more. Always drink upstream from the herd. The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every mornin'. A bumble bee is considerably faster than a tractor. It's always darkest right before dawn. So if you're gonna steal the neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it. No matter how you clean a skunk, he's still gonna stink. I've learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get arrested and end up in the local paper. Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance. I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others, they are more screwed up than you think. Don't interfere with somethin' that ain't botherin' you none. I've learned that we don't have to ditch bad friends because their dysfunction makes us feel better about ourselves. Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.
